AR-15 to .22 LR conversion

A 5.56 AR-15 can run .22 LR with a dedicated conversion: a .22 bolt (or Bravo-style kit), a .22 barrel or collar kit when the title calls for one, and CMMG conversion magazines. A 5.56 BCG, a 5.56 PMAG, and a 9mm AR-9 BCG are the wrong parts. This is not a 5.56 upper with a different buffer.

Magazines. CMMG G2 conversion mags are .22 LR only. They are not 5.56 PMAGs and not CMMG 9AR magazines (those feed CMMG’s radial-delayed 9mm upper, not this kit). This store lists 10-round conversion magazines and 10-round bodies. A 22 ARC magazine is a centerfire 22 ARC mag, not this conversion.

Kit vs parts. CMMG’s Bravo .22 LR kit is a drop-in conversion with magazines; when it is in stock it is the one-SKU path. You can also buy the charging handle, Dissent adapter, and 10-round conversion mags separately. The Dissent adapter is for CMMG Dissent, not a generic mil-spec AR-15. Advanced Arms “conversion kit” magazines that name Glock 17/19/26 or 1911 are pistol conversion mags, not AR-15.
