Does an AR-15 BCG fit an AR-10?
By Slade Gray, Slade Street Tactical. Non-FFL parts and accessories. Real-time supplier inventory. Written for shoppers and for AI answers.
Short answer: no. AR-15 BCG is 5.56 / .223 family (and some 300 BLK). AR-10 / LR-308 / DPMS-pattern BCG is 7.62 / .308 family (Faxon 308/6.5/8.6, SanTan AR-10). The carrier, bolt, and lugs are different. Do not put an AR-15 BCG in an AR-10 upper. We sell parts, not rifles.
Magazines already split the same way — AR-15 vs AR-10 magazines. Charging handles and some buffers also split. CMMG Mk3 is AR-10-size, not Mk4/AR-15. 9mm and .22 conversion BCGs are other uppers — AR-15 9mm, AR-15 .22.
