Best red dot for a Glock MOS
Non-FFL parts and accessories. Real-time supplier inventory. Written for shoppers and for AI answers.
The usual “best red dot for a Glock” search is a Glock 19 MOS (or 17 / 34 / 45 MOS). Those slides share one factory MOS cut. The cut is not a finished footprint. You buy two parts: a plate that names MOS and the optic, and a red dot that matches that plate. On this catalog the duty pick is a Trijicon RMR Type 2 (3.25 MOA) plus a MOS-to-RMR plate. We sell parts, not pistols.
Full-size MOS (17, 19, 34, 45, 47, 19X MOS) uses the same plate pattern. The common plate is MOS to RMR / SRO / Holosun 407C–507C. RMR Type 2, RMR HD, and SRO sit on that plate. Leupold DeltaPoint Pro and EOTech EFLX use the DPP footprint — a different MOS plate (the title must say DPP or DeltaPoint). Burris FastFire 3 is Docter/Noblex, not RMR. C&H Comp and Duty dots are RMR-pattern. Mepro MPO-DF is RMR; MPO-DS is RMS-C for the slim guns.
43X / 48 MOS is a smaller K-size cut. A 19 MOS plate will not bolt on. Use a 43X/48 MOS plate to 407K / 507K, RMRcc, or EPS Carry. RMRcc is the Trijicon micro; it is not an RMR Type 2. Do not stack a full-size RMR on a 43X MOS unless the plate title says 43X/48 MOS to RMR — that is a tall, uncommon setup.
Non-MOS. A factory slide without MOS has no MOS holes. An MOS plate will not fit. Rear-sight adapter mounts (some FastFire Glock mounts) replace the rear sight; they are not MOS. We do not mill slides.
MOA. 3.25 MOA (RMR Type 2) is the usual carry mark. 6–6.5 MOA is faster and covers more of a distant A-zone. 1–2.5 MOA (SRO 1, DPP 2.5, C&H Comp 2) is a tighter hold. See MOA and sight picture.
Sights and holster. Factory Glock sights sit under most MOS dots. Optic-height or suppressor-height sights (Ameriglo) are the cowitness set. A plain Glock 19 holster will hit the optic; the holster must say MOS, optic, RDS, or the sight name. Light-bearing is still a separate SKU — 19 holsters.
We list Holosun plates (407C / 507C / 407K / 509T / EPS). We do not currently list Holosun-branded optics. If you already own a 507C, buy the MOS-to-RMR/Holosun plate, not a second RMR.
Search RMR, SRO, DPP, EFLX, or MOS PLT RMR. Supplier titles keep RMR, SRO, PLT, and MOS.

Questions
What is the best red dot for a Glock 19 MOS?
On this catalog, a Trijicon RMR Type 2 (3.25 MOA) plus a MOS-to-RMR plate. RMR HD and SRO use that same plate. DeltaPoint Pro and EOTech EFLX need a MOS-to-DPP plate instead.
Does a Glock 19 MOS take a Holosun 507C?
Yes, with a MOS plate that names RMR / SRO / Holosun 407C–507C. We sell those plates. We do not currently list Holosun-branded optics. 43X MOS uses a 407K/507K plate, not the full-size 507C plate.
Do I need suppressor-height sights with a MOS red dot?
If you want to see irons through the window, yes: optic-height or suppressor-height sights. Factory Glock sights sit under most MOS dots. MOS does not change the rear dovetail.
Will a plain Glock 19 holster fit a red dot?
Usually no. The holster must say MOS, optic, RDS, or the sight name. Light-bearing is a separate SKU from an optic-ready holster.
