Pistol red dot footprint chart

By Slade Gray, Slade Street Tactical. Non-FFL parts and accessories. Real-time supplier inventory. Written for shoppers and for AI answers.

Short answer: The footprint is the optic's screw pattern. The slide cut or the plate has to match it. RMR is the common full-size pattern (507C and SRO share it). K/RMSc is the micro pattern. DPP and ACRO are their own.

  • RMR: Trijicon RMR, RMR HD, SRO, and Holosun 407C/507C/508T. Glock's Gen 6 ORS 02 plate and a full-size MOS-to-RMR plate take this pattern.
  • K / RMSc: Holosun 407K/507K and Shield RMSc. Some micro dots in this family still differ. Match the plate title. P365 and Hellcat optic-ready slides are in this family.
  • RMRcc: Trijicon's slim carry dot. A 43X/48 MOS uses an RMRcc plate, not a full-size RMR plate. Does an RMR fit a 43X MOS?
  • DPP: Leupold DeltaPoint Pro and EOTech EFLX. Glock's Gen 6 chart puts those, plus the Vortex Defender ST and XL, on the 04 plate. C&H sells MOS-to-DPP plates for Gen 4/5 MOS.
  • ACRO: Aimpoint ACRO is an enclosed optic with its own plate. It is not on Glock's three included Gen 6 plates (02, 03, 04). A MOS-to-ACRO plate is a separate part.

Slide systems: MOS (Gen 4/5) and Gen 6 ORS are plate systems, not footprints. Gen 6 standard-frame pistols ship with plates 02 (RMR family), 03 (C-More), and 04 (Vortex Defender ST/XL, EOTech EFLX, Leupold DPP). See Glock 19 MOS plates. Canik splits MO1 and MO2: Canik MO1 vs MO2. A direct-milled RMR slide takes an RMR optic with no plate.

Questions

Does a Holosun 507C use the RMR footprint?

Yes. Holosun lists 407C, 507C, and 508T on the RMR pattern. A full-size MOS-to-RMR plate takes that family.

Does an RMR-cut slide need a plate?

No. A direct-milled RMR slide takes an RMR-pattern optic with no plate. MOS and Gen 6 ORS still use a plate.

Is a 507K the same as Shield RMSc?

They are the same micro family, and some dots in that family still differ. Match the plate title.
